By May of 2020, the number of people unemployed during the result of the COVID-19 pandemic swelled to over 20 million. During that time, we knew that LinkedIn was one of the few brands that could do something quickly to help.
So, we quickly conceived and pitched a new product feature that resulted in the global launch of the #OpenToWork and #Hiring profile badges.
The badges have been used by millions of members and has made an impact on their job searches: People who let others know they're #OpenToWork are more likely to be contacted by recruiters than those who don't.
